The department is providing services to -
1. Anaesthesia services for operative surgical patients
2. Treating & taking care critically ill patients in ICU
3. Treating chronic pain in out patient department (pain clinic)
1. Anaesthesia services for operative surgical patients :
There are 6 operation theatres in our hospital. About 5-6 thousand operations booth routine and emergency operations are done every year under either general or regional Anesthesia. All kinds of general anaesthesia are practiced including neuro-anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia etc. Amongst regional anaesthesia -spinal, epidural & nerve blocks are practiced. All operation theatres are equipped with modern facilities like pulse oxemeter, cardiac monitor, ventilators etc. All facilities to have good post operative care is also available in recovery room.
2. Treating & taking care critically ill patients in ICU :
We have got 10 beds ICU. All ICU beds are specialized beds equipped with modern instruments like cardiac monitors, ventilators etc. We can provide booth invasive and none invasive ventilation to our patients. There is facilities to do CVP lines, Ultrasonography, Echocardiogram, X-ray and ABG analysis in the ICU room itself. In addition we have CRRT machine prismaflex to treat renal failure patients. In one word our ICU is equipped with most modern equipments to treat critically ill patients.
3. Treating chronic pain in out patient department (pain clinic)
There is a pain clinic unit in out patient department. We take care of chronic pain patients. We treat mostly low back pain, Joint pain, neck pain etc. We treat our patients as per necessity with Epidural steroid therapy, nerve block with the help of C-Arm in operation theaters. We provide daily services to our pain patients in OPD.
