About Radiology & Imaging Department

The Radiology and Imaging Department of Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College and Hospital has been running with modern equipment’s and provides 24 hours quality service to both indoor and outdoor patients. Well-trained and experienced medical technologists run the machines.
About 2500 to 3000 different types of investigations (x-ray, Ultrasonogram and CT scan) are done every month.
A. Instruments:
X-ray Machines:

One 500 MA, Two 300 MA, Three Portable / Mobile.
All types of X-rays are done including urological contrast X-rays (IVU, RGU. MCU etc) Ba-Studies of Stomach & duodenum, small bowel, colon), Fistulography, HSG. etc )
Ultrasonogram:
Two 3D / 4Dmachines, One normal machine, two mobile USG machines- ( one  in labor room and other in ICU )
CT Scan:
Dual Slice Siemens CT Scan Machine. CT Scan of whole body is done.

B. Services:

24 hours service (for X-ray, Ultrasonogram and CT Scan) by specialist physicians.
3D / 4D Ultrasonogram. Color Doppler Study.
USG / CT guided diagnostic Interventional Procedures.


C. Academic Activities:

Lectures, Tutorials, Block Postings for students etc.
Departmental seminars, daily case discussions and reviews.
