About Cardiology Department

Cardiology department started on 07th April, 1993 with 6 bedded Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and 12 bedded post Coronary Care Unit,(PCCU) In Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital. Now it has expanded to 9 bedded CCU with one professor, one Associate professor, one Senior consultant one Assistant professor, one Junior consultant ,three Registrars and five Resident medical officers .

We offer full fledged non invasive cardiac services with modern Doppler Echocardiography, E.T.T. Holter monitoring . The CCU bed is equipped with necessary cardiac monitor, oximetry, continuous blood pressure measurement , central oxygen supply, infusion pump, defibrillator for each bed.

We have experienced doctors and nurses on 24 hour duty .The cardiology department also holds an up-to-date classroom equipped with multi media facilities to teach our students and interns. We arrange academic activities with different national & international institutions.

Our future plan is to establish an interventional Cardiac Unit in our Hospital.
